Services: other platforms

PBXact, 3CX and everything else

Not every switch runs bare Asterisk or FreePBX. Commercial editions, other vendors' platforms and frameworks long since abandoned by their makers are all still taking calls somewhere, and the same engineers support them all.

PBXact

PBXact

Sangoma's commercial edition of FreePBX, with the commercial modules included and vendor backing behind it. We host PBXact switches in our UK data centres and support them on site, quoted individually for larger configurations.

3CX

A widely deployed commercial software PBX on an annual licence. We support existing 3CX systems, trunks and handsets, and where the renewal no longer makes sense, plan the move to a switch you own outright.

Switchvox

Sangoma's unified communications platform, built on Asterisk. Supported alongside the open source platforms by the engineers who know what is underneath it.

ViciDial

The open source contact centre suite on Asterisk. We support it and develop for it, and for UK compliant predictive dialling, see our own dialler.

Legacy Frameworks

AsteriskNOW, Elastix, PBX in a Flash and Fonality, among others. Frameworks come and go; the switches they left behind still need looking after, and often a planned way off them.

FreeSWITCH

The other open source switching engine. We have supported FreeSWITCH deployments too, and can advise where it suits better than Asterisk and where it does not.

Migration

Moving off a licence, without a cut-over weekend

Most migrations start at renewal time, when the licence or per-seat bill is set against the cost of a switch you own. We survey the existing system, rebuild its call flows on FreePBX or Asterisk, re-provision the handsets you already have where they support open SIP, and port the numbers once the new switch is answering.

Nothing is switched off until the new system has carried live traffic. If you want to keep the existing platform, we will support it for as long as you do.

How a move runs

  • Survey: extensions, call flows, trunks, handsets and recordings
  • Build: the new switch configured and tested alongside the old one
  • Provision: handsets moved in groups, re-using hardware where it can be
  • Port: numbers moved once the new routes are answering
  • Support: the same engineers, from the first day

Renewal coming up?

Tell us what you run and what it costs, and we will set out the alternative.
